  • Yes, infact I feel that the "banker" should give the contestant a new bigger "piggybanl" filled with twenty ($20) dollar bills. He had NO right to break her piggybank.
  • If it was intentional, then it was very cruel.
  • I never saw that episode but i do think it he did it intentioanlly then yes it was a cruel, I hope the show is happy with the way they treat there contesants. If i were the girl i would sue the show.
  • All three of yinz are 100% correct. I happen to concur. If I were her, I would file a lawsuit against the banker, the production company, and sue them for various charges, and seek both punitive and compensatory damages. If she was from my hometown, I'd recommend hiring Bill Moder to be her lawyer. I have Bill Moder for a class I take on the Penn State Shenango campus.
  • I think this is the gameshow that should have been called "Greed" because usually it's the contestants own greed that ends up losing them the game. They lose because they don't know how to quit when they're ahead.
  • As a long-time amateur magician, one of the principles I've always adhered to is that you never damage, mutilate or otherwise treat badly anything you borrow from anybody in the audience, especially those who come up on stage to help you. What this person did was unforgivable and it would serve him right if the contestant sued him for a lot of money - after all, it's not just a piggy bank, it's years of sentimental value that can't be replaced.
  • The piggy bank was returned to her in one piece after the show. It was a gag. Even if it had been her real piggy bank, why would that shatter her common sense to the point that she'd throw away the money he was offering and end up with nothing. Sounds like her greed got the best of her and everyone's looking for a scapegoat.
