Help answer this question below.

My Sony WEGA KV 32 TV is about 7 years old. When I first turn it on the color is all purple in about 5 minutes the color is back to normal, what is going on? Also the red light on the front of the TV flashes all the time now.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the picture tube is failing, classic symptom of a grid short - some times tube can be "rejuved" (grids cleaned) but most sony tubes cannot handle it and get worse
