  • Call the police.
  • Call 911
  • pull out my ol' 12 Guage and see whats da matter. If it was an actual shooting, id pump the killer's guts full o lead. No thats a cartoon action what id really do is check it out, and after being certain that its a murder call the cops
  • The thing is that sometimes it is hard to tell if something is gunshots, a car backfiring, a transformer blowing, or maybe just fireworks. To be honest, I would probably do the stupidest thing possible: Stick my head out the door or walk outside to investigate. I'd be the one who got shot trying to be nosy. If I KNEW it was a gunshot I would just call police.
  • drop to the ground..then peep it out
  • I would drop to the ground and try to get hold of all the phones at home.
  • It's just same old same old. I live out in the country. The next house (actually family, too) is a few thousand feet away and the house past that is a few more thousand feet and has people who shoot and target practice all the time. The h house across the street is also family and they hunt and shoot. Plus we live next door on the other side to the state woods where hunting takes place. So the shots cold come from anywhere. Gee, all of a sudden it sounds like I live in Deliverance! LOL!!!
  • Same thing i used to do when I lived in the projects. Call the police and then don't tell them anything. (if you want to live)
  • Stand at attention!
  • Sigh...run over with MY gun.
  • I would call the police.
  • 1st. Grab 12 ga. from closet. 2nd. Locate phone. 3rd. Call Police and tell them where they can come collect the perpetrator's remains.......;)
  • Having been in the military, I know the difference between hearing actual gunfire, and hearing a loud movie or even fireworks ... if I heard what I knew to be gunfire, I would quickly call 911, switch to the hands free speaker phone on the first ring, and report "## shots fired at *address*, stating small or large caliber or shotgun or whatever ... then I would draw my sword, grab my cell phone & ready its camera, and stand near the door, listening for footsteps and breathing while keeping the 911 operator on the line by saying, "standby, I'm moving to a position to listen for movement in the apartment's hallway." ... then I would report what I heard as I heard it ... if I heard fleeing, I would move to the window to try to take a picture ... if I heard someone approach my door, they had better have a police badge or they will be rudely introduced to a sword wielded by a high level martial artist and be crippled for life.
  • Scream very loudly and then hide under the covers.
  • What everyone said in this was absolutely correct advice; however, my stance on it: If they're not shooting at your house and nothing bad happens after that, I wouldn't bother with anything because basically the cops never care and never arrive in time (mine never do) and I live on the bad side of town in a bad neighborhood, we get gunshots around here at least once a week or once a month depending on a good year. I don't even bother ducking anymore, screw it. XD Call me insane, but that's my stance on it. You do what you feel is right.
  • Since it's my mom's house, I would call the police, while on my way over there with my own gun, because they take FOREVER.
  • Grab the closest phone to me and dial 999.
