Girl! Stick your fingers up there and fish it out! I do that all the time. The strings come all out and it's a pain in the ass. Or honestly? This will be uncomfortable but. Tongs. Fingers first!!!

First of all, you need to take a deep breath and calm down. A tampon cannot get stuck in your vagina for eternity and next time you use one of these, please read the directions thoroughly. You reach in with two fingers, grab part of the material, relax your muscles in your vagina and pull without hurting yourself, gently. I usually use tampons that have string attached so I can pull it out. You can also try "Instead" which are better than tampons because it's a cup, but please always read directions before use.

Usually if you get it too wet it will come out on its own from the weight. try to use a douche or something to help make it wet. If you notice the dryer they are, the harder they are to get out. If you have no success, though it may be embarrassing, you may need to go to the emergency room. Trust me, OBGYN's have done some unusual retrievals.

that happened to me, and it took me almost 20 min to get it out, not realizing I had one up there, I also had sex, and it got pushed even further. but I dug my fingers up there to get it.

Did someone try to have sex with you while a tampon was inserted? I can't see it getting so high that you couldn't just fish it out with a finger.

First you need to relax. When you are freaking out and tense, you are NOT going to be able to get far enough in there. Maybe try sqautting, this should open the muscles up a little. Try "pushing" like when you tinkle and see if you can't push it out a little.

my gf has this problem all the time in fact she asked me yesterday to buy her some salad tongs i just looked at her like she was insane anyways i love her dearly and felt helpless because im just the boyfriend and told her maybe you should go to the E.R. that would be my best advice to all of you ladies with the hidden white rat syndrome

just dig it out...its not that big of a deal. you shouldnt be afraid of your vagina, its not like a never ending cave

The water idea is the best; fill up your tub with warm / hot water. Sit down in it, make sure you spread your vag open so the water will soak the tampon. Then fish up there with your fingers, if the tampon has turned sideways, make sure you realign it so it's easier to get out. Lean forward over the side of your tub, but make sure you're still sitting down in it and relaxed! I had my legs criss-crossed. Sometimes the string will be hard to get, if you can't get it with ease, don't worry about it! Just tug at the tampon itself gently, you don't want the tampon to tare and leave pieces of it up there.
