To the best of my knowledge, they were all destroyed. GM's kicking themselves right about now, I'm sure.
Yes there are working but not original EV 1's. These Ev 1s were given to universities and museums but they were "deactivated". Some of these ev 1s have been reactivated. This actually violates the terms of use contracts with GM. I know from personal experience that at least one still exists and I have heard rumors of others. The one I have seen in person is located around Rochester New York.
They were recalled, but I don't think all were returned. I am guessing there are a few still tucked away somewhere.
