He clearly learned to use the things his father left behind in the tree house. Right? :-D

Didn't he have a home made knife? Seems like he had one in some version of the old TV shows made from a tusk and hide (around the handle) or something. He used it as a tool but I don't think ever on an animal; those shows were so long ago. I loved them as a kid.
