  • Respect his choice. Nobody's religion or beliefs are wrong as they are opinions you develop from experience & knowledge.
  • Respect his choice of what to believe. According to the Christian faith, his choice is none of your concern. What should be your concern is being a good example of what a Christian is. That is how the Bible says to show others that being Christian is a good thing.
  • I would NOT try to convert him to Christianity. The best thing to do is to set a good example - show him your faith through your behaviors. Be his friend. If he starts making bad choices or endangers himself, talk with him. But don't judge him on his conversion. While Muslims are portrayed in Western media as dangerous zealots, there are MANY that are wonderful people and comport themselves according.
  • Each person has a choice in life. Whether their decision is right or wrong is not for us to judge.
  • That's his belief, so yes. I think all beliefs are correct, as long as you don't force them on others.
  • Buddhism is even clearer and more reasonable. Why not convert to something that truly is a religion of peace? (If he's rejected Christianity he's not likely to come back to it.)
  • Religion is a liability in other countries. Such an attitude breeds atheists. All other countries have mono-theism. Hinduism is poly-theism. All rivers finally join the one ocean. In the same way, worship of any god will finally reach Almighty. In India, we are free to choose a god of our liking. This is what it keeps our individuality and spiritual freedom . You can make religion your way of life, and live a very lively life. It shows the unity in diversity among Indians.
  • No. He's just swapped one bunch of confusions and contradictions for another. If he likes it though, let him run with it - so long as he doesn't decide he needs to blow you up to prove how right he is...
  • Is he right? If you mean should he have converted? Well, he wouldn't be honest to himself if, having seen something clearer, more reasonable and less confusing, he didn't go for it. If you mean is he right that Islam is clearer, more reasonable and has no confusions like the Trinity? It is hard to argue against the claims. The word used by Muslims for someone who embraces Islam is not a convert but a revert. This is because Islam represents monotheism in its purest form, a form in which it is present in primitive man and in every child prior to any indoctrination. So when anyone embraces Islam she/he has gone back to the pure monotheism. Remember what Jesus is reported to have said in Matthew 19:14 "Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." That's because their concept of God, before they are taught about trinity or other gods, is pure monotheism. If the person was a Christian then by saying the shahada he will have gone back to his roots, back to the real teachings of Jesus regarding God, before these were changed, first by Paul and then by the Romans. The real teachings of Jesus regarding God connect us, through all the genuine prophets of God, who taught the same concepy of God, right back to Adam. One united humanity submitting to the one universal God. However, because of deeprooted misinformation about Islam those who take the shahada often face a lot of hardship from family and friends and your friend might need lots of strength, patience and support to cope with that. May God ease the journey for him.
  • The Christian life is about faith. We are not going to understand God completely other than what He has given us to know about Him in His holy Word. I'm sorry if this is offensive, but no, he is not right. Islam is sending millions into Hell because it denies the Biblical Person of Christ(the only begotten Son of God as well as the Godhead in bodily form), teaches works-based salvation, and also denies the work of atonement that Christ did when He bled and died on the cross, was buried, and rose again from the dead. Man is sinful and needs Jesus Christ, not religion. Thank you and may God bless you. :) -In Jesus' Name.
  • only heart with guidance from ALLAH can answer
  • Not an insult to Christians: only answering the question to jacfar-holland: The core of Islam is very clear and has no confusions. the boundaries of islam (where different sects divide) has debates & arguments (like most religions) and it is this area that gets misinterpreted & distorted. The core of islam states: - God is 1, is divine & has no children and belief in god is the first & most important step - You show god your faith by worshiping him, doing good & avoiding evil (and you will be judged on that on the day of judgement) - Mohammed is the final prophet i.e brought the final message (koran) - Jesus is not god/divine & does not have a father - Jesus was not crucified - Jesus will return when the world is full of evil & restore god's message one last time and then he will die - all humans will be resurrected on the day of judgement and bought to account for their actions (good&Bad) based on what they received - no person can take the sins of anyone else - Children & the insane are innocent & will not be judged - Fasting, Hajj, Zakat is reccomended on all people physically (& financially) able. - islam will (eventually) collapse completely but the book will remain in its complete undistorted form till the day of Judgement ...This carries on... (most of the above is the core of islam) (Blowing your self up is not one of the requests of islam).
  • Do you mean is Islam clear and reasonable? So long as a person does not question the teachings but accepts them totally then it is clear. Muslims do not beleive in the Trinity. It is a difficult Christian doctrine to understand.
  • yes he is right and iam very happy for him , christians think that because holy virgin mary became pregnant with out making with any man , so that means that god is the one who brought him and that god is his father , come on guys it is not logical just think about it , then how come god created adam and eve with out any parents , that doesnt mean that god is the father of them too !! this is silly , god (allah) just brought jesus(peace be upon him) this way just to proove to the people that there is a creator who is the one and only god (allah), because during jesus's time there was a lot of people who were worshiping animals and stars and statues and some of them also believed that there is no god and that men and women are the only ones who create another child when they marry ,we muslims believe i jesus too and we follow his path but as a messenger of god not as god him self or the son of god , iam a 100% muslim and i love my religon , i really wish that all the people can go to heaven , but unfortunatly all the non-believers of islam will not go to heaven , because that what god(allah) mentioned in Quran , so i pray and wish for all u non-believers of islam to try to make a research about islam and to find the right path , just try please , you wont regret it,thank u for reading, byee :)
  • No, Islam is like any other religion. It is full of contradictions that the fanatic of, simply refuses to take into account. http://www.carm.org/religious-movements/islam/contradictions-quran
  • Replying on matt89, not all Muslims are like each other same as Christians and Jewish. Islam is a true religion and the prove is Prophet Mohammad who also came out with miracles and message from god which is Quran. I feel shame to count those terrorists who (blow buildings and kill thousands) of people under the name of Islam as those does not speak on behalf of Muslims as people and Islam as religion. Do you feel that what Jews do in Palestine and in Lebanon and in other countries is correct if yes my freind then allow me to call you as terrorist. Because no religion that came on earth calling all human kind to follow one god despite of who is the prophet order there followers to kill and attack and rape and abuse other human despite of his religion and color and nationality. Islam is the religion that orders all the Muslims and none Muslims to live in peace and to obey gods rules and made all human kind as brothers and sisters. Please man try to get a copy of translated Quran and read it before judging and advising others on things based on what you see in TV. I’ve read the bible and understood what it meaning and even I’ve sat with a Christians who explained to me all the difficult words in and I found it very similar to Quran and to Islam as religion.
  • no religion is clear, or logical. if they were, god would have an office where you could speak directly to him, he would be tangible, not some thing that is far enough above you to judge you but beneath actually showing up without doubts like we have. religion is poison, its mind control, and stunting us from our real mission in life. not to be slaves but beings in nature. all religions support paving paradise, or am I the only one who notices that greed and perversion comes from religion? besides how willing are you to slaughter people? because christians have always slain non christians. do your homework, then claim a faith, not just attempting to gain popularity at a social club for schitzophrenics.
  • It's clear. Reason has nothing to do with it.
  • you cant really force your beliefs on him. I guess if he thinks hes right, he is in his own mind. To me, Islam is very clear and reasonable, so i agree. But the decision is his.
  • I converted to Islam as well so I say your friend is right on! Salaam
  • I think that it is clear and reasonable for HIM.Non Muslims probably disagree and that is why they are Non-Muslims.
