  • The only thing that really matters about the oil is the 'weight' (like 10W-40, etc)... If you take it somewhere to get the oil changed, they can make that decision for you. Antifreeze is antifreeze as far as I know.

There is another kind of anti-freeze based on organic acid technology (OAT) and is commonly called Dex-Cool (GM's brand name for it). That is generally dyed orange or pink and it's meant for later-model cars specifically designed to use it. You should stick to the green (sometimes yellow) ethylene glycol coolant and not mix in any OAT-type coolant.
