I am looking at a 2001 wrangler sahara. the seller states he has put a $3000 engine booster (extra 60hp) to the car. I have never heard of this. is it something I should avoid or be thankful for?

the seller might have put a air vortec in the airbox hose that makes your engine run cooler and give you more hp and better gas milage but for 60 hp i dont know. see if you can look in the hose coming from the intake to the air box and see if there is a fan like divise in there if there is it is a part that cost maby $60 at any auto parts store.

My Farking GAWD! There is no such thing as an engine booster. They need to be more specific. Horsepower boosters of that extent come in four types; turbochargers, superchargers, nitrous, and bullshit. The first two are fairly obvious with an underhood inspection, the third from a look-see in the cargo area, and the fourth from an absence of data from those checks. NOTHING subtle adds that sort of HP.
