  • I do know that if your current landlord does not want to let you out of the lease, you will have to pay the rent even if you do not live there. You signed a contract to pay the rent for the year or whatever your lease is for. If he decides to let you out early, he will probably make you pay a couple of months rent to get out of it...maybe more. So if you move, you will then have your name on 2 leases which you will equally be responsible for. I would think it over very carefully.
