Area 51 has been a hot topic for UFO enthusiasts for years. Area 51 is a top-secret military installation of the United States. Though its location is known, the activities that go on within are not. There is one thing that you should know before you question whether or not they have captured alien technology there: it is primarily a research facility. This does NOT mean that they have extraterrestrial corpses or recovered space craft materials there...it simply means that there is top-secret research and development going on in the facility. Area 51 is located in a remote, secluded area of the Nevada desert. It is far from any highly populated civilized areas which provides a safe, secret testing ground for any new weapons, vehicles or technology that may be developed. It is true that it is within close vicinity to Groom Lake, and people have identified strange devices around the area...many of which appear to be transmitters or detectors of some kind. Again, this is not indicative of captured alien technology...its simply a security measure. Area 51, whatever may be going in there, is a higly secured area that is kept under such security with good reason. But then...is there alien technology there? It is entirely possible that there is, yes. Keep in mind that UFO does NOT mean alien spacecraft...UFO, or Unidentified Flying Object, refers to any airborne object or craft that has no classification. The UFO crash that occurred in Roswell may very well have been an alien craft...I am definitely not one to doubt the existence of extraterrestrials. But it also could have been an experimental craft of some kind. It is true that after the famous UFO crash and subsequent mania surrounding Area 51, there have been very significant advances in technology militarily, medically, and otherwise. Could it be the result of recovered alien technology? Sure, why not? Only the foolish and narrow-minded will tell you that there is no other intelligent life in the universe...the very concept that humans are the only intelligent, sentient beings capable of advanced civilization in this infinity is absolutely absurd. Will we see definitive proof of extraterrestrial life in our lifetime? We already have...bacteriums on Mars, for example. But will we see intelligent sentient beings capable of space travel, possessing incredibly advanced technology? Only time will tell. You never know what today, tonight or tomorrow will bring you. As for Area 51 containing alien corpses and technology, that is probably something we will never know until it becomes declassified, which probably will not happen for many years. As for theories surrounding a UFO crash at Roswell and the existence of extraterrestrial visitors, here's some interesting facts for you to ponder. Keep in mind that these reports are mostly speculation, and I am NOT citing them to be 100% credible, but most of them are too popular to ignore. Take them as you will...it all depends on your view of extraterrestrials and whether you believe they are coming to this planet or not, so here are some of the most popular: - Ancient temples and pyramids in Egypt have revealed hieroglyphics and drawings of beings that appear to be coming from the sky in magnificent craft - Many theories suggest that pyramids could not have been built with the basic human labor technology of the time, and it is beleived that extraterrestrials helped build them. -Similar ancient temples and pyramids in South America suggest similar theories of extraterrestrial aid in their construction. -Bizarre beings and creatures are often carved onto south American temples that do not seem to have any ties to ancient South American belief systems, suggesting that they are possibly alien life forms. -UFO sightings in Brazil over the past 30 years have increased, and reports of brutal, invasive and malevolent abductions have been coming in at an alarming rate. It is beleived that ancient ruins and temples located deep within Brazilian forests may be serving as extraterrestrial beacons and bases. -UFO sightings over Mexico have increased over the past few decades, particularly in the 1990's. Some of the sightings are famous, and many of them have been sighted directly over Mexico City, one of the single most populated cities on Earth. -After the Roswell incident, several people reported finding a strange metal that could be bent easily, and then it miraculously returned to its original shape. This info has been explored in science fiction movies as well. -Another post-Roswell incident: a man in the New Mexico area found what he described as a 'peculiar metal object'. He handled it for only a short time before throwing it into a water well on his property. Soon, his water well was contaminated, and he died from a mysterious, grotesque cancerous growth all over his hands. Take those as you will...does any of it PROVE alien existence? No. How does it relate to Area 51? Well, if you beleive that Area 51 is secret because of Alien technology, then these tidbits may help you lend proof to that fact. Otherwise, Area 51 is most likely only kept top-secret because of sensitive and classified government research.

Information concerning Area 51 is so secretive because the government and the Department of Defense feels that knowledge of what goes on there is on a strict "need-to-know" basis and they (the government and military) don't think that the public has a valid "need-to-know." As for significant military and medical technology only coming to light after the existence of Area 51 was discovered, that's ludicrous and utterly untrue. The Air Force keeps some Soviet Migs at Area 51, and the U2, SR-71 Blackbird, Stealth Fighter and B-2 Stealth Bomber were all flight tested there. Area 51 is not "close to Groom Lake," it contains Groom Lake within its boundaries. As for the "strange devices around the area...many of which appear to be transmitters or detectors of some kind", they are motion sensors and seismographs, so that security can tell when someone has illegally violated the perimeter. And it's not that far from any civilized areas. las vegas is less then an hour away by plane, and employees who work at Area 51 are regularly flown in to Area 51 from the Las Vegas International Airport.

It may just be that the government doesn't want information to leak out, whether it's about alien life forms or just new developments in army technology. It could be anything that a government would not want anything talked about, something revolutionary or downright strange.

I can see why the government would want to keep secret military tech secret, but what about medical tech? What if they have the cure for cancer there? If it's medical reserch, I think civilians, and the rest of the world, has a valid "need-to-know".
