I wish i could afford a proper, well made one. not these new commercial ones

Love them; they have to have a good bit of space to do them justice though. Love cookoo clocks too.
-
Yes if you have the room they are great. Get one with hidden compartments.
-
There's just something about a nice gradfather clock that's classy looking. But we had a small one when I was growing up, and I used to love it.
-
I LOVE grandfather clocks, and I've always wanted one. You kinda have to have the right decor for one, though.
-
I think they're lovely. I had an aunt who used to have one in her hallway and it was just gorgeous.

We lived in Germany for a few years and for some ungodly reason my parents bought both a cuckoo clock and a massive grandfather clock. My opinion: They are certainly beautiful, but I would not want to sleep in a house with either.
-
I think most of them are too large. I prefer what is called a grandmother clock. They are smaller, or more slender than grandfather clocks. I've seen some beauties! But I don't have any place to put one so I'll stay with my cuckoo clocks and crystal regulators:-)
-
I don't like them because I can't tell time that fast by looking at a clock. I have to see digital numbers or it takes me a while. I'm not the sharpest knife in the refrigerator.
-
OMG I hated the ticking from my best friend's grandfather clock when I'd sleep over at his place.. I'd always wedge a nintendo game in the pendulum house to keep it from ticking.
-
I love them... and am actually looking for one for my living room. I prefer one with a switch to turn off the ever present Bolero of the Quarter Hour, though. I think pretty things (unlike children) should be seen and NOT heard.
-
I think they are a waste of space...Maybe if I had the huge house where one would look good, but everyone I've seen are crammed into tiny houses.
-
I love it. my mom has one. It says Griffin 1986 on it guess i'll get it when she dies
-
I can't stand to hear a clock ticking so having one doesn't interest me...unless of course it's broke then I would love to own on. I think they are beautiful.
-
Too noisy. At least for goodness sake set them to "silent". And they're a waste of money. If you want to know the time, get a watch. if you want a clock rather than a watch, get one of those "tickless" wall clocks with the smooth-moving second hand. These wall clocks generally look good, too, if that's what's important to you. And they're so quiet, you might not even be able to hear them.

I think there cool

I have a wall mounted one I found in a garage sale, it's great. It also dongs, but I figured out how to make it stop, because it's pretty loud otherwise lol. I also love those huge ones, I wish I had one, but I'm quite happy with my little one. I think they look great, it adds personality in a house.
