  • I do about 900 miles a week and love it.
  • I love driving, but hate traffic
  • It's fun when you have a new car to drive, but after a few weeks the novelty wears off and it starts sucking again.
  • I hate driving, and at my age, it's a real burden. My grandson, age 20 lives with us, and he doesn't want to learn to drive either.
  • when you don't finish a sentence, and then drive off a cliff.
  • I don't usually mind driving at all. It only annoys me to drive in rush hour or if I have a headache. Other than that, I sometimes really enjoy driving. I think in order to really enjoy it, you have to be good enough at it that it feels easy to do and you can relax while doing it.
  • I flirted with professional driving (tractor-trailer, delivery vans, taxi) 15 years ago (Gee...has it been THAT long!) I think those years killed the spirit for me. See, when I was learning to drive professionally, I was taught a bit about defensive driving. It's then that you learn that just about everyone on the road are literally amateur drivers. People make thoughtless and/or dangerous maneuvers in 35+ mph projectiles , giving no thought whatsoever about the consequences that may occur should something go wrong. It ain't so much that "speed kills"; it's more like an idiot is driving IRRESPONSIBLY very very fast. My current pet peeve is tailgating. Why is it necessary to drive or pull up so close to another driver that an ANT couldn't pass between? I don't get it. Guy makes a sudden stop and you're eating steering wheel for breakfast. Anyway...I drive now 'cause my wife insists I may be needed should an emergency arise. Otherwise, I'd be perfectly happy riding the bus.
