  • The trinity is a difficult thing to grasp. People try to explain it as being like ice, water and steam, but that doesn't cut it for me. I try not to think about it too much.
  • It is because Jesus and the Father are two separate individuals. Their unity is one of purpose and will and it is to this will and central authority that we apply the name God.
  • -this is the one scripture that gets to anyone that wants to prove the trinity is a scriptural belief. the doctrine of the trinity is such a retarded teaching, but it is true that when you want to be blind you will be! the word trinity is not found anywhere in the bible. a so called scripture found in 1john 5:7,8 that is supposed to prove this doctrine, is nothing but a fabrication and a bible text that was not found in the original manuscripts of the bible. the scripture you ar referring to is 1cor 15:28 which states that the son will subject himself to God who subjected all things to him. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that God and his Son are TWO different persons. that one is older than the other one and wiser. jesus acknowledged this, and his disciples wrote that after his acension to heaven he went and sat at the right hand of God.(Acts 2:25) if he is God how is this possible? if he is God why would the apostle paul say at 1cor 11:3 that God is the head of the Christ if he is the head? the line that many come up with when they have no where to go is "these things are mysteries", well anyone who has read their bible should know that the time of mysteries being revealed is upon us. there are no mysteries in the bible. it is revealing everything to us, therefore this reasoning is faulty and without merit.
  • I look at it this way, God , the Son, and Holy Spirit are 1...just 3 personalities of God....
  • Is there any future for the millions who do not have the hope of immortal spirit life in heaven? Indeed there is! After explaining that the heavenly resurrection takes place during Christ’s presence, Paul outlines subsequent events, saying: “Next, the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power.”—1 Corinthians 15:23, 24. “The end” is the end of the Thousand Year Reign of Christ, when Jesus humbly and loyally hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father. (Revelation 20:4) God’s purpose “to gather all things together again in the Christ” will have been fulfilled. (Ephesians 1:9, 10) First, though, Christ will have destroyed “all government and all authority and power” opposed to God’s Sovereign will. This involves more than the destruction wrought at Armageddon. (Revelation 16:16; 19:11-21) Paul says: “[Christ] must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing.” (1 Corinthians 15:25, 26) Yes, all traces of Adamic sin and death will have been removed. Of necessity, then, God God will have emptied the “memorial tombs” by bringing the dead back to life.—John 5:28.
  • Question: When Abraham had his son Isaac, was Isaac any less of a Human being than Abraham? Of course not, you would say that's absurd, they're both equal in nature as human beings. So why then did Isaac submit to the authority of His father even to the point of death? Just because Abraham had authority over Isaac, doesn't mean Isaac was any less of a human being than Abraham? When you get married and have a kids, is your son or daughter non-human? No of course not, your son or daughter is still a human being, equal in nature as humans, but having a different place of authority. Just because the parent has authority over the child doesn't make the child non-human. Are woman not human beings because they're different from men? Men and women are equal in nature as human beings, and when they marry they become "One Flesh". Just because the man has authority over the woman doesn't make her lower or less equal than the man. If God has a Son (His one and only Son), it doesn't mean he's different in nature, they're both God (the same God)... just because the father has authority over the son doesn't make the son non-God. Just because the Father has authority over the Holy Spirit doesn't make the Holy spirit less equal to God. God took on the image of a man, he was manifested as a man, in order to save man from his sinful state. That's why Jesus said "the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son does likewise." Jesus can only do what the father does because they are one in the same. Colossians 3:4 "Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily: and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power." (2:9 á½…τι ἐν αὐτá¿· κατοικεá¿– πᾶν τὸ πλá½µρωμα τῆς θεá½¹τητος σωματικῶς) Here's the original Greek which can be found in any majority text manuscript. Philippians 2:4 "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross." (2:6 ὃς ἐν μορφῇ θεοῦ ὑπá½±ρχων οὐχ ἁρπαγμὸν ἡγá½µσατο τὸ εἶναι á¼´σα θεá¿· 2:7 á¼€λλá¾½ ἑαυτὸν ἐκá½³νωσεν μορφá½´ν δοá½»λου λαβá½½ν ἐν ὁμοιá½½ματι á¼€νθρá½½πων γενá½¹μενος) So why then would Jesus, who is equal with God, humble himself and take on the likeness of man? Answer: 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." One other bit of information to those who twist scripture to deny Jesus' deity, You can't use a Webster's Dictionary to look up the meanings of words in the Bible. For example, the word "begotten" from John 3:16, in the modern Websters Dictionary means, to be created. But in the Greek Lexicon (begotten = monogenÄ“s in the Greek) means, only or single of its kind. So the word begotten does not mean Jesus was created, it means he was the one and only son of God! Also, the word "firstborn" (Col 1:15) does not mean he was the first created of the creation. That word is Prototakos in the Greek which means, Heir, superior, preeminent in rank, captain. So again, it does not mean he was created, it means Jesus is in authority over all creation, the captain of our salvation!
