Since it is a post-1996 vehicle, it uses OBD-II and a lot of information can be obtained simply by plugging in a diagnostics tool (or counting check engine lamp flashes after jumping the appropriate pins on the diagnostic connector. Specifics on how to do that would be in a manual like Chiltons or Haynes, which you may even find at your local library).
Randomly swapping parts without getting the diagnostics codes is quite foolish these days.

my brake lights don't come on. i own a F-150 and i replaced the bulbs and the brake light switch. is there something else i can try?

Is there a relay or breaker for the headlights on a 1991 Ford F350? If so, where is it located? Truck has the 7.3 diesel engine.

You're reading I have a 1999 Ford f-150 v8 4.6. My engine bogs down at low RPMs and the nagain once I get around 40 to 50 MPH. I replaced the plugs and and coils. My check engine light came on when the problem started and i was told it might be my cat. convt's any help?
