Help answer this question below.

I have a 1999 Ford f-150 v8 4.6. My engine bogs down at low RPMs and the nagain once I get around 40 to 50 MPH. I replaced the plugs and and coils. My check engine light came on when the problem started and i was told it might be my cat. convt's any help?

    Since it is a post-1996 vehicle, it uses OBD-II and a lot of information can be obtained simply by plugging in a diagnostics tool (or counting check engine lamp flashes after jumping the appropriate pins on the diagnostic connector. Specifics on how to do that would be in a manual like Chiltons or Haynes, which you may even find at your local library).

    Randomly swapping parts without getting the diagnostics codes is quite foolish these days.
