  • Yes...It would help if you have kept your pay stubs.
  • I live in Florida and I was allowed to file my taxes without a current W2, I had to have my latest pay stub and copies of last years W2’s, the max they were allowed to give me was $400 plus I had to pay to file, but when I do get my current W2 I would not have to pay to file again.
  • Yes - the last paystub of the year from your employer has all your information needed to file a return.
  • You should not file without your w-2. If you are mailing the return you must have it. The EIN from block B is required by turbo tax and any electronic filing system. Your final pay stub has most of the data, but you should wait for the w-2.
  • Depends on if you are paper filing or electronically filing. Paper file you must attach W2. Efile, if you know your employers federal ID number than you could potentially use your last paystub if you knew which part of your benefits were taxable or not. In general not a good idea to do it without the W2.
  • I lost my W-2 but I made a copy. Can I use that to file?
