He's one actor who made it a real treat to watch the big and small screen. The Dirty Dozen, Paint Your Wagon, Cat Ballou, The Man who Shot Liberty Valance, the Twilight Zone episodes, The Untouchables...so many good films, shows and roles:)

He was great in Liberty Valance, the Dirty Dozen and several other movies. I think he had a TV series, too.. detective or something.

I remember him too! Liberty Valence was one of my favorites. He was in it with John Wayne and James Stewart, what a trio! Which just made me think of an interesting question to post . . . thanks!

One of my favorite actors. He was sort of limited to one type of role, but he was brilliant at it. He was a for real guy, too. A Marine veteran of WWII.

yeah I grew up watching his movies .... great actor ...couldn't sing BUT a great actor :)
