Out of timing, check the timing belt!?

If it cranks but won't start then the problem is neither the starter nor the battery. You need to figure out which of the following three things you are not getting: 1) Fuel 2) Spark 3) Compression A fuel problem would typically be due to the fuel pump either being faulty or because it's not getting electrical power. An ignition problem could be any number of things. For example, if the crankshaft position sensor was faulty, then the engine computer wouldn't know when to fire the spark plugs. A compression problem would indicate a major mechanical failure such as a slipped or broken timing belt, bent valves, burnt piston rings, etc. It's highly unlikely that is the problem. If you want something you can try that is quick and easy, get a rubber or wooden mallet and locate the fuel tank. Have someone crank the engine while you bang on the fuel tank bottom with the mallet. Sometimes a bad fuel pump can be induced to function by doing this. Good luck

i'd replace the fuel filter and see if that changes anything, if not i'd try checking fuel psi and ensure the fuel pump is working correctly. if nothing shows up there, i'd check the ignition system, plugs, wires, coil etc.
