Private businesses can generally discriminate with regards to things like age and sex. That's why bars can have ladies' night, Augusta National doesn't have to allow women to be members, etc. You're probably thinking that the Constitution protects against discrimination. Contrary to popular belief, the constitutional protection you're thinking of only protects against discrimination by the government (State and Federal).
