You might try a fogger and try to find the source. There is also an Ortho pump spray that comes in a big jug (Home Defense I think) that you can spray the outer edges of the place with that works quite well.

If they are sugar ants, look on the web for the recipe for this thing that has honey and peanut butter, and this chemical that kills sugar ants. You should make that , and put it on aluminum foil.

Anything you put outside to keep them from coming in will also keep them from going out, they are already confused by the RAID, it has made their exit difficult, so rather than follow a trail to and from the nest, they spread out in search of a new exit strategy. Stop with the sprays, and use a bait. Ant Species Controlled by Baits: Argentine ants (sweet bait) Big-headed ants (sweet and grease bait) Little black ants (sweet and grease baits) Pavement ants (sweet and grease baits) Pharaoh ants (use hydramethylnon bait) Odorous house ants (sweet bait) Small honey ants (sweet bait) The following baits are registered for ant control: Terro® (OTC) | gel | boric acid/sugars Pic® liquid (OTC) | gel | boric acid/sugars Drax® Ant Kil Gel (PRO) | gel | boric acid/sugars/apple/mint (sugar-feeding ants) Drax®-FP (PRO) | gel | boric acid with peanut butter/oil (protein and grease-feeding ants) MAXFORCE | gel, granules | hydramethylnon Always read and follow label instructions.

You should probably try to determine if the colony is outside and they've found a food source inside your apartment or if the colony itself is somewhere in the walls or floor. If the former, cut off their food supply. Try to find what it is that's attracted them and clean it up. Keep all of your food packages tightly closed, and consider putting things like breakfast cereal into airtight plastic containers. Wash your dishes after every meal and immediately clean up spills. Once the food supply is gone, the ants will go, too. It may take a few days before they give up, but they will eventually. If the colony is in the apartment, then you need to eradicate it. Because ants live in enclosed spaces, a fogger may or may not work. It will kill the foragers, but the colony will likely survive. An exterminator is usually the best choice in that circumstance. I'm assuming these aren't carpenter ants, of course.
