Concern, yes - but not worried. I would consult her doctor/pediatrician about this and get professional input. At 15, her body weight can easily fluctuate where she doesnt need pills to lose weight, she just needs to be active (unless she is diagnosed with some sort of sickness). Get her involved in something that she likes that will help her burn off some calories - like walking on the treadmill at home.

I would be. Not necessarily because of the health effects the pills may have (although that is a whole other concern) but also because she is so concerned with her weight that she turned to taking pills. You need to have a talk with her about the HEALTHY way to get in shape and slim down. You should be especially worried if your daughter is already at a healthy weight, and has no reason to lose weight. She could have an unrealistic view of her body, and this could be a warning sign of future eating disorders. If she isn't skinny already, and she is at a size/weight where it would be normal for her to want to look better, then help her to eat right, and add some activity to her day. See if she wants to sign up for a sports team, or dance classes... ask her to help you make dinner, and prepare healthy foods. Don't let her continue with the Diet pills, as they are never the answer.
