It is not a good idea to date people from where you work...and especially your boss. There is no law that you can not do it...but you may want to check what the company's policy's are regarding dating fellow employees.
-
No, it is not illegal but it may cause some problems further down the track if things get a bit complicated. eg What if you have a disagreement out of work? How will working with him/her be then? Good luck.
-
I would check out your company's HR policy on employee relationships. It is never a good idea to date your boss no matter your age or workplace setting. If one of you quits, then you can probably start seeing each other. But until then I would keep the relationship on the down low.
-
The company you work for does not decide if it is illegal for you or not. They do not have that power. Again, good luck!!
-
It is not illegal but not a good idea. Especially when the other employees find out. They may think you are getting special treatment even when you are not.

A 19 year old needs to look for someone a little older than 16. A 16 year old needs to not be looking at a 19 year old. It's never a good idea to date your boss or to date an employee. It's never a good idea to date anyone under the legal age of consent. Wait until your both grown up.
-
It may or may not be illegal in your state for a 19 year old to date a minor. It may or may not be against your company's policies to date a colleague. Either way, there's no such thing as keeping the relationship out of work. The reason so many people are saying it's a bad idea to mix work and personal life (especially dating a supervisor) is because if things get messy in the relationship, they will inevitably get messy at work.

It's not illegal. It may be against policy. I married my boss and we are very happy! You never know :)Give it a shot
-
it is likely against policy. to do this may require a duty or shift transfer so you are not his direct subordinate
-
There's no law against dating your boss. Although it usually doesn't end well...it's a very bad idea. If you ignore the age difference, you can pretend it's not illegal but that won't help him if he gets caught. And you can pretend you are keeping it out of work but get ready to put on some Academy Award winning performances to hide your joy as well as your disappointments, anger, pain, etc. There will be people who will be able to see through your performance so be ready to deal with them and all that comes along with people talking/speculating about it. I would suggest you finding another job and allow him to forget about you.

Are you all in kindergarden?
-
It's not illegal, but obviously if you were to have sex then that would change, and lets just say if you break up with him and he's a spaz... you have now lost your job and cash flow. Don't do it.
-
it's not illegal but often considered unethical.

let's be honest here the age different isnt too great. in fact it becomes insignificant within the next few yrs. 2-3 yrs age difference only becomes an issue when ppl are in their teens or younger. now let's get to the point. its never a good idea to date someone from the office. it can get messy. but then if you're already into it then just prepare yourself for the worse that might happen though of course you need not expect that. just be prepared that's all. laws not exactly its more of it being a usual company policy. ive noticed that more and more companies have become accepting of this but there are still limitations. like if it's your direct boss then one needs to be transferred to another.
-
It' definitely not illegal, but just keep in mind, if you guys start dating and it goes pear shaped for any reason, you will have to live with this at work... Which speaking from experience, can be a nasty situation... Plus, if it's your boss, people may start to talk and things like promotions etc will be seen as not earned, but 'sleeping your way to the top'... If I were you, I'd walk away from the situation before things get messy!
-
Depends on company policy as far as dating your boss, but Im pretty sure its only illegal for anyone over 18 to have sex with anyone under that age, simply dating not included. Either way, I hope you don't value your job too much.
-
It's a dangerous act. I always learned that it's best "To keep your pecker out of the payroll".

I don't think there are any state, or federal laws against this but most companies have policies about fraternaization and it is usually frowned upon and even grounds for termination for a manager or boss to date a co-worker or anyone under them. On a side note, there is no 100% foolproof way to keep a relationship out of work and you should consider the consequences should you get caught..people will notice, or if the two of you should split up..usually this means someone has to quit and find a new job...have you ever heard the saying "don't shit where you eat"? it's good advice...unless you just don't care about the job, then I advise you to date the guy and find other work because dating and working together can be stressful..he might get fired for showing you preferential treatment, or you might not be able to handle him having to be a boss to you when he is your boyfriend and has to tell you what to do or even reprimand or counsel you.

There are no laws that I'm aware of (I'm NOT a lawyer) against bosses dating their employees. There are company policies about it, broken sometimes, and sometimes it's allowed. The "illegalness" of it may be that he's 19, and you're 16. Make sure that it's legal in your state. (I believe, though, that 16 is the "age of consent" in most states, however, I'm sure this will need to be ok with your parents. If it's not, they could cause a lot of problems for you, for him, and for either or both of you at work.)
-
yep, your co-workers could file a complaint and you could both be fired. Also I don't know what the legal age of consent is in your state, but here it's 2 years(not 3) and willing difference if one person is under the age of 18. If your parents find out and don't like it, they can get him thrown in jail for statutory rape. so maybe you don't ignore the age difference, maybe not such a good idea.
