  • Yeah it has, and I feel real dumb walking around the parking lot with a cart full of groceries looking for my car. Oh well, crap happens!
  • Welcome to old age!!
  • it happens to me when I go to work I will usually park in the same general area but if I park somewhere even a little different I can easily wander around for 15 or 20 minutes looking for my car
  • I was at a Christmas party once and we needed something from the grocery store. I volunteered to go, but my car was in the drive way and was blocked by several other cars. One of the drivers of a car that wasn't blocked offered me the use of her car. I took her car to the store and got the needed groceries. I realized when I came out of the store that not only had I forgotten where I was parked, but I had no idea what kind of car I had borrowed, nor even what color it was. I had to call home and ask what the car looked like. I looked like a giant goober, however. lol
  • Every time.
  • It's never happened to me at the grocery, but it happened to me once at an amusement park and the worst one was at a mall, many years ago. That was terrible. We literally spent a couple of HOURS trying to find the car. It's one of those huge malls that has two levels and has exits and parking all over the place. We finally figured out that we had entered on the 2nd floor and not the first, and eventually found the car. That broke me of THAT, right then and there! I've never lost my car since then. I always pay attention now and remember I've parked on the 1st level by Sears, or likewise remember that I'm in 'Scooby Doo 12'. :) As a bonus, my wife's car now has a remote horn button on it, so if you lose it, you press the button and follow the sound!
  • Glastonbury 97, covered in mud... we were, the cars were - everything was mud-coloured!! Thousands of 'em... "Well I know it was in this bit somewhere!!!" ...then proceeded to drive it straight into a pond - no mud colour then! I didn't do this, I'd quickly like to add!
  • So many times, now all I have to do is look like a fool holding up my electronic horn thing and start honking. ;)
  • This usually happens to me on days when it is pouring rain, because I make a mad dash to get indoors, without paying much attention to where I parked. That is not to say, however, that it hasn't happened on a bright sunny day, because it has. It used to happen much more often when I had an old Acura that was low to the ground. Invariably a big truck would park next to me and I would not be able to see my car. It's like a treasure hunt!
  • Yes this has happened to me..........LOL
  • oh yeah, not often because i always go to the same places and park in the same areas...but i do that so i dont forget...
  • All the time. Thank goodness for the remote car lock. I have to call my car all the time. I just don't pay attention to what I doing. Did this when I was twenty and still doing it.
  • Sure, frequently because when I park i am thinking about what i need to buy and then freak when i come out and stand there like some crazed dummy. But my truck has a shell that not many people have so it's kinda easy to spot, plus I tend to park in the same area so i go there automatically.
  • That's just because I'm not concentrating and am thinking about other things when I go into the store. Happened to me many times. When I come out, it just takes me a moment sometimes. Once it took me longer.
  • All the time. Don't worry about it. (But do try to pay more attention when you park so it's easier to remember later!)
