Nice try. She would divorce him in a heartbeat for the Presidency.
-
good question, good point. I'm sure she's fine but that would be funny if that was brought up to her in a debate or something. lol
-
The law does NOT consider married people to be the same person. The answer is simply "No."
-
Yes, that is exactly what that means. I say she should not be allowed to run. Well for that reason, as well as the fact that she is not qualified to run. I am only joking. I don't think Hilary Clinton is qualified to run the country because of her political agenda. She is free to run according to the Constitution.

The whole "unity of two individuals into one entity" is more of a metaphor. So no, it wouldn't.
-
LOL you must be a lawyer!
-
The concept of marriage uniting two individuals is a religious one, and I believe one particular to the Christian religion. It has no part in the civil institution or marriage, and to bring it in to the Presidential race would be violating the separation of church and state.

From the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution: No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, Wait a second... "acted as President" hmmmm.... Didn't the initial Clinton campaign feature a "two-for-one" special? Inquiring Constitution scholar minds want to know.
-
NO! They are seprate people and marriage has nothing to do with president.
-
two individual into one entity, but she is a whole different person. just because a man commits a crime and is going to jail doesn't mean the wife is going to jail with him. he commited the crime, not her. therefore it is legal for Hilary Clinton to run for president.
