I ahve a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge. The lights on the Gauges don't work and the tail lights don't work. But the break lights do. What is the problem?

Start by checking your fuses. I have an Isuzu, the fuse panel is right next to the inside of the driver's side door. Every now and then when I get in I'll accidentally knock a fuse out, then suddenly something random stops working. I usually don't notice until I'm already out on the road so I have to try & get the fuse back in at a red light or something.
