Why do people use the word 'curse' to describe words like 'f**k?' Cursing is taking the Lord's name in vain; those words are coarse and vulgar but they are not curse words.

In the Bible cursing was calling down evil on someone. Example: May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your pubic region. Curse is also called swearing.. but that is different because if you were swearing to something and lying about it.. that was some serious offense. To me, it's just vulgar and obscene language.
