I have an 1985 chevy 454 with an egr valve, I want to replace the intake with high rise, can i just block the egr with a intake or is head work required as i dont need the egr any more.

usually the same company that makes your intake makes the plate to cover and seal the egr mounting pad. chrome is useally under $20 and easy to install, remember to block your vacume line or if using aftermarket carb just delete that hose.
