  • Awww. Minesweeper is cool. Have you read the instructions on how to play? http://www.ishipress.com/mineswee.htm
  • I've been trying longer then that: if you find out how to beat it PLEASE tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • it is kinda hard to explain it better than the instructions. you are probably just making it harder than it is. try to have someone who can play it do so with you watching.
  • It's pretty much a logic game. I've won, but it always upsets me when that damn bomb goes off when I was SURE I picked the right square...
  • 1) The link given by "Kickass Angel" does not only explain the rules. Further on, it explains the strategy you can follow with great details. Of course, you have to use the smallest possible board. 2) However, there are some situations where you will not be able to win securely. An example is the starting situation: there are only 10 mines in a 9x9 grid, so you have only a 10/81 chance to fall on a mine. This is quite few, but the possibility exists. 3) I suppose that you do not win a lot at this game. A good trick for you would be to play quite quickly at the beginning, clicking about 4 or five fields randomly on the grid. If you are not lucky, the gave is over, and you just start again. If you are lucky, the game is not over, and a wide part of the game is now clear. Start thinking about the possibilities and you could then make it, because you will have much less difficult decisions to take. With this strategy, you will not necessarily improve your success quote, but you will spent less time for your failures runs.
  • I'm assuming you know the rules. I usually start by clicking the corners and then random boxes around the edges. when I have a good block of clear squares, preferably with lots of corners, I start flagging mines. The easiest way to do this quickly is to learn frequent patterns of mines in relation to the numbered squares; for example, if you have a straight edge of numbered boxes, and one of the boxes is a '3', all of the unclicked squares adjacent to the '3' are mines. As you play more and more, especially in intermediate level, you get a sense of where the mines are when you see a specific number pattern.
  • Go to the edit game and make your own I did the same thing to train my self
