It's gonna get ugly. President Musharraf has the country under martial law. Bhutto was trying to bring some sense of stability to a country that has been undergoing a lot of hostility internally. They are already starting to riot.

Chaos & Grief

Other than political analysis, I would like to give a philosophical analysis of that situation. A similar assassination of prime minister took place in India - Rajiv Gandhi in 1991. 1) Benazir Bhutto was the eldest child of former prime minister of Pakistan - Julfikar Ali Bhutto. Rajiv Gandhi was the eldest child of former prime minister of India - Indira Gandhi. Feroze Khan, father of Rajiv Gandhi, was a muslim before he was adopted by Mahatma Gandhi for the purpose of marrying Indira Gandhi. 2) Both Benazir Bhutto and Rajiv Gandhi had degrees from western universities, unlike other who were elected as prime ministers after them. Rajiv Gandhi graduated from University of Cambridge, UK, and Benazir Bhutto obtained masters degree from Oxford University, UK. 3) Both Indira Gandhi and Julfikar Ali Bhutto were killed against their will. 4) The political influence of Rajiv Gandhi and Benazir Bhutto was small. They were elected to the office of Prime Minister due to sympathy that their parents got killed. 5) When Benazir Bhutto was elected as prime minister in 1988, Rajiv Gandhi was prime minister in India. She was removed from office 20 months later under the order of then-president Ghulam Ishaq Khan on grounds of alleged corruption. The Bofors scandal broke honest and corruption-free image of Rajiv Gandhi, and resulted in a major defeat for his party in the 1989 elections. He failed to get re-elected. 6) Both Benazir Bhutto and Rajiv Gandhi were killed by suicide human-bomb missions. 7) Both belong to families of feudal lords in north India. 8) Benazir Bhutto was born on June 21 (1953) and died on December 27 (2007). Rajiv Gandhi was born on August 20 (1944) and died on May 21 (1991). All the four dates are two digit numbers. Number 2 in the first place of those four dates is conspicuous. Benazir Bhutto born in the first half of the year died in the second half of the year. Rajiv Gandhi born born in the second half of the year died in the first half of the year. 9) The first child of Rajiv Gandhi is a male - Rahul Gandhi born on June 19, 1970. He was born in the first half of the year. He was aged about 20 years when his father died. The first child of Benazir Bhutto is a male - Bilawal Bhutto born in September 1988. He was born in the second half of the year. He was aged about 20 year when his mothe died. Both their names end with the consonant 'L'. 10) Both Rahul and Bilawal are Hindu names. The remaining R and J are cognate with Raja (king, ruler) in Sanskrit. Read the name Benazir in the reverse direction, we get the consonants RZNB. Let us remove the last consonant, the remaining R,Z and N are cognate with Raazni (Queen, lady ruler) in Sanskrit. We should remeber here that Urdu script is written from right to left.

Ms Benezir Butto was the only women in an Islamic country who got democratically elected twice and served as PM of Pakistan. Now that country have no democracy, and maintained by martial law under self style president Musharaf. Pakistan has now became a c/o address for Taliban sponsored terrorists, with many training and terrorists production camps at its Afghanistan border. These terrorists may capture the Nuclear Bombs present in Pak and as part of their religious war may attack their rivals across the world. Ms Benezir Butto was killed purely because she wants to re-install the democracy and eliminate the terrorism from Pak. If these terrorists in Pak are not controlled, then there will be a big threat to Pak, their neighbouring countries and as well as their rival countries in the world. The terrorists claim those acts are part of their religious war. I don't think any religion or GOD in his world propogates such attack on a woman, who is dignified, democrat and helpless. My deep condolences to her family members and people of Pak who lost their democratic leader.
