Maybe once a month to make black, red kidney, great northern beans. Taste delicious!
I don't use mine often, but when I do I make "baked" beans, pot roast and beef stew.
I like to cook Brisket of any kind with potatoes and green beans in it..My second favorite was chicken after the chicken cooks add rice and green beans with sone seasonings and let it cook till rice is done...I normally make some kind of bread like Garlic or cheesy...
i love my crock-pot....I use it quite often in the winter...I love to do casseroles :D
We use it a lot in the winter, especially when we are both working a lot. We make a lot of black bean and veggie chili in it.
i just got a new crock pot - and i cant wait to make beans with the ham bone that is leftover
I use it once or twice a week in the winter. We make chicken and rice, beef stew, BBQ sirloin and meat balls in sauce most often.
I seldom use it in the summer.
three or four days a week in the non-summer months. My favorites are chili, beef stew, chicken soup, split pea soup, pasta fagioli, and ham and bean soup.
I love my crock pot. I use it about 2 or 3x's a month, and I live where it is hot. I make pot roast, chic parm, stew, ribs, and boneless pork chops w/ tomatoe sauce.
My wife travels for one week a month for her job leaving me alone as Mr. Mom so she helps me out by prepping two or three crock pot meals for that week.
I set it up in the morning before leaving work and when I get home we have a great, healthy meal. We usually have soups or stews.
Pot roast is my very favorite crock pot meal. We probably use it 2x a month.
They went out of fashion in Australia years ago. I got four as wedding presents in 1980. We don't have the long stark winters of the Northern Hemisphere, so we don't really need them.
About all I use it for is simmer sauce, or a chicken dish I make... I really don't use it much. To me everything tastes like stew....
Cajun Beans, at least twice a year
couple, months, crack
NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a little one that I didn't use but every once in a while because it was so small. I just got a new 3 quart crock pot a couple of months ago, and I use it 2-3 times a week.
I make roasts, chickent, pork chops, chili and stews.
not often enough, I keep forgetting things like chicken legs in the pot, a roast in the pot, a whole chicken, I guess with winter coming on, I should get it out and think about it a bit more !@!
I hardly ever use it, mostly for fundraisers at the schools.
My favorite thing to make is hot mulled wine - but not at the school!
i make THE BEST ribs in my crock pot :) yum!
Barbeque brisket is my favorite crock pot recipe.
Maybe 4 times a month or more. We make some soups, especially black bean soup and chilis and a few stew type dishes. Plus I use it to cook my black beans for refried beans. It comes in handy when we are going to be busy and I can't tend long cooking things. My favorite thing to make in it is something we call Tortilla Flats, a spicy beef mixture with lots and lots of green chilies and tomatoes. Later, once it's done, we fry some flour tortillas, layer meat in between 2 of them and dollop sour cream on top. It's excellent!!!
I heard about this Cooking myth about if you turn up the heat while the pan/pot is hot, it cooks faster. Is this true or...?
