  • Start using coupons and make sure you check all the sales at the different markets. Nice when you find something on sale then have a coupon to get more money off.
  • I spend that every 4-6 days in california but i have a larger family I use coupons, try to find stores that have double coupon days (2x the coupon value). valued club membership cards gives you disc. off some items in the store, try shopping for non food items at walmart or sam's club/costco. things that rack up the food bill *(asprin/toothpaste/toothbrushes/laundry soap/toilet paper/paper products) just buy food & you'll see a greater drop in the cost. people just buy it here for the convience of it.
  • It sounds about right. You can save some money by buying in bulk, avoiding pre-processed convenience foods, simplify your reciepes by cutting out expensive spices and other costly ingredients, and you could also save a lot by using coupons all the time. It costs a lot for groceries and I hear that the manufacture of ethanol from corn is about to send our food costs through the roof. Oh, joy.
