My best guess on this one is that it's because once you've been asleep, the body has slowed everything down and thus doesn't require fuel anymore right away.

it just means you were craving...and it went away...hmm other things can be done you know?

Your stomach and body chemistry changes during sleep. You may wake up "hungry", but not for the same thing you went to bed craving. You may go to bed with a high-protein food on your mind, but wake up wanting something high-energy.
