Here in Georgia it is sold as it is any other day. Many of the stores are closing, but you can still buy beer at the gas stations all night long. We only restrict alcohol sales on Sunday (actually 11pm Saturday until midnight Sunday.) One year new years eve fell on a sunday and there was a big stink where they considered selling alcohol that sunday, but it never materialized.

Alcohol can only be bought between the hours of 6am and 11pm here in Hawaii. Bars can stay open till either 2am or 4am depending on their type of license, but they'll all close tonight early.
