  • Both have a good chance of killing you, depends on where you are shot at lol.
  • its a question of range. a riffled barrel is more accurate so has more of a chance of hitting you at a longer distance. at close range it doesn;t matter.
  • this a trick question for one you would'nt be hit with a smooth bore unless you were under 20meters, and the rifled bore percusion caps right off the bat started knocking over confederate soldiers at distances not acheivable with the confederate smooth bores. so the rifled bore is more deadly than the smooth bore.
  • rifled goes farther so id say thats more deadly.
  • To get hit with a smooth bore shot, is nothing short of a miricle after 50yds and that may be a bit conservative. A rifled bullet can kill you from distances of upwards of a half a mile and that is with the barret .50cal you would have better luck by getting close to a sniper so his optics would be out of focus than thinking you are out of range at 1000yds. And even for me cause I have the practice 400yds is a skilled shot. And at that distance you have to start taking in variables wind, where your mark is. Are they profile or are they at a bad angle. With all these variables in place you have to think about how your weapon is has the scope been banged is there dirt down the barrell. With all shooting a person must become familiar with the rifle knowing it as no other. I shoot a 1972 700series 7mm rem Mag. In the day this rifle was of the long distance competitors. I have killed numerous big game and with out every trying to brag every game animal that came into forcus has been killed. The light weight is the best quality of the rifle with flat shooting well into 600m that has not been a problem. The rifle has been on my horse in the scabard since 1979. I got as a gift from my mother I wasn't even able to drive but guess what I had that rifle in my possesion. I have a Browning BAR .338 and it is a better harder hitting rifle but brand new it will stay. For I know I got the 7mm and it works good and that is what we need it for come hunting season
  • I believe the cliff's notes would be don't risk getting shot with a bullet from a rifle barrel, for if you luck out and that is the case, I HATE IT FOR YA!
  • Just on accuracy alone the rifled bullet will kill you at distaces farther than a sooth bore, and the the shot from the rifled bullent will have more hitting power because the velocity of the bullet.
  • Too many variables to answer this question.
