Yes. I have been downrated for being funny, for being serious, and for just plain existing. It happens.

Yes. I often ridicule the looney left, which I think is very funny. I get downrated a lot for that. Watch!

Nope. I have, however, been downrated because somebody else didn't think my answer was funny when apparently the questioner wanted 'humorous answers'. I never claimed to be a comedian :)
