not at all Merry Xmas to you too.
-
No, one is just shorthand for the other.
-
No, I try not to let the little things bother me. At least you didn't say Die, bitch, lol
-
With my lousy penmanship, Merry Xmas is an easy way out for me. I use it.
-
no,not at all,i use Xmas more than Christmans:D

The abbreviation Xmas is quite an old one. IT comes from the fact that the word for Christ in Koine Greek (the language of the New Testament) was ΧριστÏŒς . See the starting letter: it is a CH sound. So, no, it does not concern me.
-
Yes , it takes away from Christmas for me , and a little lazy + up
-
Nah. I'm not all that worried about taking the "christ" part out of the word. It gets the point across, and alot of people use it. Though, the grammar nazi in me might be only very slightly annoyed at the shorthand as opposed to just writing the whole word. On the other hand, I'm not particularly religious so I've actually used Xmas in stead of the whole word- to seem slightly rebellious. Not that anyone actually notices that...

The 'X' in Xmas is an early symbol for Christ.
-
No Nelson, not at all, in fact i use Xmas myself most of the time.
-
not rely but it a bitt naff xmas i guess if you were a sign writer you be happy, less letters

Nope. I use it all the time. Im a very, VERY lazy person and it really comes in handy when writing "personal" messages on all of those endless Xmas cards. <---see I did it again without even thinking. yep im lazy!
