I kiss my 2 year son on the mouth all the time. thats the only way he knows how to give kisses. I guess that will change with age though.

As I tell my almost-4-year-old... smile kisses are for mommies and daddies only. Little girl kisses can be chin kisses, nose kisses, cheek kisses, hand kisses, forehead kisses, eskimo kisses, butterfly kisses and any other kisses you can thing of, but not smile kisses. Her favorites at the moment are nose kisses and neck kisses. But after the day where she wanted to give me a "smile kiss" the way daddy does... smile kisses are not on the agenda.

My daughter kisses me on the lips all the time, but then again, she's 5. I stopped me son from kissing my lips when he was about 3.
