How can someone retrieve emails that are done on a site like Yahoo without your password and how do you prevent that?

If you are not signing out of your account someone could log on via your computer and view your emails. Make sure you are completely signed out and don't save passwords

Make sure you sign totally out of your account after using it...otherwise someone can just go to your account on your computer.

Thank you for your responses. I always log out of the account thinking that it would prevent the person from getting my emails. Well it didn't work. The person was able to get them. They said something about retrieving them from the registry files which I don't understand.

If someone else has access to your registry files then you already gave them full access to your computer and everything you do on it. Be happy they only took your email account. Perhaps they don't know what they're doing to do more damage.
