    I haven't managed to find a definitive answer, but having looked through career records of all the likely Indian and Australian bowlers (rather than just picking a name at random and stating it as an answer), the most I have found is Anil Kumble with 88 test wickets v Australia... I would be surprised if anyone has taken more in India v Australia matches than this. For the record, Warne only took 43 v India and McGrath 51... as well as Kumble, Kapil Dev (79) and Bishan Bedi (56) also have more than these two.
