  • In the US one of the most common student loan organizations is the FAFSA program found at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ where you can apply for federal student loans. If you qualify you can get either Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loans to help pay for your education. This money can only be used for education related expenses. This includes tuition, books, rent (dorm or apartment) and some others. However, I am not sure what you meant by “bills” you can NOT use this money to pay for a car payment (even if you need it for school) or to pay off credit card bills and so on. However, when you are setting up your federal loans there are frequently chances to get private loans in addition to the federal ones. And I believe these loans are more liberal about how you can use the money. Thus yes, if you qualify, there are student loans to help pay for college. And if you are curious about more details talk to a guidance counselor or in my case with the loans from my school I was assigned a financial advisor who was very knowledgeable about loans and their uses. TERMS: Subsidized Loans: Government pays interest on the loan until you are done with school then you have to start paying it off. Unsubsidized Loans: The interest gathers but you do not have to start paying it off till you are done with school. Private Loans: Loans directly from a bank. Conditions of this type of loan depends on the institution giving you the money.
  • Not really, but if you have tuition reimbursement, after your loans pay for the classes, you get it reimbursed and the school cuts you a check. Its almost like what you are asking for.
