The y-intercept is where the graph crosses the y axis. i.e. put x=0 so the y intercept is at -3(2)^2 + 5 = at (0,-7) The vertex? A vertex is a local extrema. This occurs when the squared term is a minimum. So x must be -2, y 5: (-2,5)
