Everything TheBigA said! I've been dealing with PCOS with insulin resistance for years. I've been on diabetic pills, different hormone pills, through fertility treatments....all kinds of things!

I am on Progesterone. I went through "menopause clinics of america" and they helped alot. My Testosterone was off the charts which made me Estrogen dominant. I am only 29 and not going through menopause but the hormone therapy has helped alot. I am also seeing a specialist and they will be putting me on a type of medication used for diabetes. The weight loss comes with the treatment of PCOS. I would start with talking wih someone with menopause clinics of america and getting on "Bio-identical Hormone replacement therapy" These are natural hormones not sythetic and are alot safer than synthetics. 1877-5-menopause or www.menopauseamerica.com They are not too pricey and Oh i wish I had of done this years ago. I will also be seeking a fertility drug that is supposed to help as well. Let me tell you I have had regular periods and felt much happier(less depression) as well as clear minded and only hope to get better in time!!!

Wow can't believe this question came up. Last week my MD told me I may have this and is sending me to an OBGYN. You mean you can not cure this? I know NOTHING about it.
