Hi have you never had to wear glasses until now, well here goes perscription is written in Optomerist talk they tend to use special abrevations. OD= RIGHT EYE OS= LEFT EYE READING= OD +1.75, OS +1.75 YOU may have noticed uou have a three diget perscription for distance this is broken down as follows OD Sph +1.75 Cyl-0.25 AXIS 90 OS Sph +1.75 Cyl-1.00 Axis 100 This perscription basically means you have astigmatism, the Cyl repersents the level of astigmatim present and the Axis means the curve of the Astigmatism. I my self suffers from Astigmatismbut at a higher level, basically what this means is the coroneas are shaped like a rugby ball instead of like a football.
