    well i heard dat it is 16guage and usually 6mm-10mm long

    Depends on how large your tragus is. But since it's cartilage, you have to consider that larger needles put a lot of pressure on the piercing. Many people recommend only using needles 8g, 10g, or smaller on cartilage and use dermal punches for larger sizes. I personaly wouldn't pierce any of my own cartilage with a needle larger than 10g because of the pressure. If I wanted something that large or larger, I would consider dermal punching.

    I had mine pierced with a 16g. They inserted a captive bead ring, and I'm not sure what the circumference is, but it fits well.

    Typically (most) piercings are between the 18-14g range, though it would depend on the piercing..
