It certainly depends on the situation. Helping someone whose bag of groceries has broken, or helping someone cross the street are examples of doing the right thing that don't 'cost' anything. Sometimes standing up for what you believe is 'right' will win you some enemies, but I think it is worth it in the end. Life isn't meant to be 'easy'. That is a misconception that many seem to have in our culture of 'comfort'.

I don't think that is the general outcome. For the most part, I do believe doing the right thing works out for the best.

I disagree. In any given day I would think the majority of our decisions revolve around doing the right thing and I would think the cost of not doing so would be higher.

not generally but it can. Big things, yes. Regualar stuff like not running red lights and staying faithful doesnt come at a high cost but standing up for something you believe in perhaps.

I believe not doing the right thing is more costly.Losing my self integrity would be a high cost .
