  • "Vicodin" is a brand name used in the United States. The drug is known as "Hydrocodone," so you may try asking for that next time. Or, see a different GP. The one you saw doesn't seem very reliable if he's NEVER heard of Vicodin, even if it is a US-based name.
  • it may be because we don't have vicodin. try asking for Neurofen or something like that.
  • It's probably known as something different here - try using a non-generic name for it. Have you got the container you can show him with its components? Might help
