  • I struggle with that a lot -- I work a ton of hours (often 7 days a week -- 12 - 16 hours a day). And, I feel guilty when I take off because I haven't accomplished enough or I haven't acheived what I had hoped to. But, I do know that you work better and are happier at work when you can find that balance between work and down time. I just haven't been able to do it yet. . .
  • balance between work and play is definitely a MUST for me. i don't think i'll ever enjoy working if i don't benefit from it. i do get to buy things that i need and want (kind of self-treat and liesure to me)and i could go to beautiful places to experience pure fun and relaxation. it's one thing that i look forward to when i'm working. it makes me feel good to work for the things that i love and enjoy doing with. it sure is balance my life and making it worthwhile!!!:)
  • The LORD and knowing that I'm saved and have achieved a lot in heaven makes my life worthwhile. I may not have all the fancy degrees and not be rich, but I have eternity to look forward to. I hope that you all can say the same. If not give your heart and life to Him today. Then you will be truly satisfied.
  • A life that is worthwhile is a life that is shared. I think life is more meaningful if people around you appreciates what you are and what you do. On the balance of work and play it depends on the type of work you do. Work can also be play it depends on you. People are not easily satisfied if we get want we want we still hunger for more. I think the attitude towards life is that we always should be thankful even for a small blessing that come our way.
  • The truly balanced life is a life of harmony within relationships and with nature. Too much work makes most people grim, while too much play makes most people shallow and frivilous.
  • What makes my life seem worthwhile? Good food. Good music. Playing the guitar and piano. Beautiful women. Hope for the future. Philosophy. Sitting down and reading a good book in a single day. Learning new things. Learning about myself. I think that what we traditionally view as "work" is meaningless and pointless, and that life should only consist of "play" and leisure. Life is too short to be a slave to someone else for something as superficial as money and materialism.
