  • Yes you can. In a two-drive system, it is common to use D: as a media and document storage drive. That way, if you have a major system failure and must reformat your system drive, none of your files will be lost. You might also see a slight performance improvement by keeping your media and your programs/system on seperate drives. It probably won't be noticeable unless you're doing some pretty heavy multimedia editing.
