When you joined AB, did you intend on joining, or were you just asking a question and eventually got into the whole AB thing?

I didn't have any expectations when I joined AB. Shelby brought me onboard and from there, I just started interacting with people...and it kind of became home.

AB came up in a Google search when I had a question, and I couldn't find it anywhere else on the web. So I joined and asked the question I needed. Other than that I didn't really have any activity on the site, I just waited for someone to answer the question. I didn't get anything after a day or two, but I logged into the site to check my question. While at the main page I saw a question about the iPod that I knew the answer for and the previous answers were missing some points. Then I saw some other questions that I felt I could answer, and the trend continued.

As you know I'm a famous writer-journalist in the Asia Minor. (One can search in google for Prof. Mes),and having been a pionneer pen after the free thought, free belief plus holding out to the Soviet type semi military regimes in Yugoslavia, Turkey etc. I have been under the obligation of trying to make the voice of my pen ostensible I have chosen AB as the greatest platform matching to my mission and ideals!Is there any other place more convenient than AB from the point of my historical duty?

i kept searching questions on google and kept getting this website... then i looked around it and decided i liked it.. but then i had to wait a little over a year to get my activation e-mail (kept resending it but i never got it) finally got it this august
