patience, a copy of ceaser milians 'ceasers way",a leash,a phone number to a good vet, depending on your living space you may need a couple childgates and/or a indoor kennel, food and water dishes,puppy food,plenty of newspaper for potty training, a few toys...I could go on and on...these are good things to start with before you bring the little guy home.

You need patience, commitment, and money. Don't read "Cesar's Way". The man is misguided and could do with bringing his training up-to-date and dropping the pack theory stuff. He preaches dog theories that are horribly outdated by even though most basic dog training standards.
